Jimi Hendrix, there in the darkest hour, as usual.

The doctors said I was mad. They have given little Miss I don't do drugs... some crazy purple pills. They pretty much make me never want to talk to anyone ever again and just stay in my room and play Hendrix licks all day long. (Pretty much being a teenager all over again. WOO!)

The sweet thing is that Hendrix was diagnosed with the same thing. What an angel. Maybe being mad isn't all that bad?

Awesome fact number 2. Traditional magical beliefs held some attraction for both Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix, and they were both particularly impressed by Akonidi Hini, a Ghanaian occultist and healer who has sometimes been called 'the High Priestess of Voodoo.' Akonidi believed that the magical ceremonies she carried out in her temple were responsible for Hendrix's commercial success and it is interesting to note that Hendrix dedicated 'Voodoo Child' to her.

Cool as.
