Spanning the last five years, Revolution Rock has been celebrating the life and music of The Clash/ Mescaleros front man Joe Strummer with a series of packed out shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
To pay respect to Joe, Revolution Rock will see musicians and fans alike from around Australia come together at concerts in Sydney and Melbourne to celebrate Joe's music and spirit.
On September 10th The Vanguard in Sydney will see the return of the fifth in the series of Revolution Rock concerts. The line up will include The Rumjacks, The Smith Street Band, Steppin' Razor and Isaac Graham.
Making a return to Melbourne for the second year after a packed out show in 2010, Revolution Rock will be taking place at the historic venue The Tote on September 23rd. The line up will include The Rumjacks, Steppin' Razor, The Bennies, The Smith Street Band and The Operators.
All proceeds from the events will go to benefit Strummerville: The Joe Strummer Foundation for New Music. Strummerville is the official Joe Strummer charity set up in Joe's honor, which aims to offer support to young musicians. www.strummerville.com
